Thelma townsend

Thelma Marie Thompson Townend breathed her last breath on July 31, 2019. She was born on July 9, 1937 to Kenneth Lester and Sara Ann (Bullock) Thompson in Preston, NY where she and her husband, James VN Townsend lived since their marriage in July of 1960.
She graduated from Oxford Academy and Central School in 1954 and worked at several offices in Norwich, including Bennett Ireland and the Chenango County Soil and Water District. She also was an employee and volunteer at the Northeast Classic Car Museum for it's first 17 years. She was a life member of Lafayette Chapter #340, Order of the Eastern Star, where she held and office for many years.
Besides her husband, James, she is survived by her sister Louise Reese and her 3 children and 6 grandchildren. Also, her stepdaughter Reatha Townsend of Houston, TX and her first husband, Lawrence Kenneth Bartle of Vermont.
Burial was in Riverview Cemetery, Oxford.
