Shona lee nicholson

Shona Lee Nicholson, 59, passed suddenly, yet peacefully, on October 26, 2022. Born November 27, 1962, at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida. Shona is a 1980 graduate of Camarillo High School in Camarillo, California. Shona proudly served in the US Naval Reserves from 1988-1996.

An avid Chicago Bears or The Bears Fan, Shona was hardworking, and goal oriented her entire life. A graduate of ITT Tech, Shona had careers in Restaurant Management and Aerospace Manufacturing.

In 2004 Shona relocated to the eastern United States where she met her life partner and soulmate, Karen L Murphy (M 6/13/14) who sadly preceded her in death earlier this year. Shona is survived by her mother and stepfather Sheila and Joe Morgan, father and stepmother Nick and Cherri Nicholson, brother Neal Nicholson, and sister and brother-in-law Nanette and Brian Kische. Her nieces include Alexandra, Carla and Claudia Nicholson, Nicole Kische, and nephew Austin Kische. Also surviving are Karen’s children, Jeremy Zornow, Jennifer & Fred Thomas, and Jeff and Adrienne Zornow. The amazing grandchildren that she and Karen adored so much include Layla Burton, Kelsey, Landen and Shealynn Zornow, Cheyann and Zaylee Thomas, and Jayden, Emmaleigh, and Zachary Zornow. All helped create many family memories and traditions with Shona and Karen through their 17 years together.

Shona loved people and cherished her friends and family, including her extended A.A. family that she connected with following the passing of Karen. She will be missed by all who were blessed to know her.

Graveside services will be held Friday, November 11, 2022, at 11:00AM at Riverview Cemetery Albany Street, Oxford, NY.
