Sally ann nickerson

Sally Ann Seaman Nickerson passed away on January 8, 2019 at her home in Harpursville, NY.
Sally was born on April 20, 1958 in Binghamton; daughter of the late David and Sarah Tefft Seaman.
Sally married Howard Nickerson in 1980, who survives. They had two sons, Jesse (Cliff Montero) Nickerson and Ryan (Jenn Shiner) Nickerson. They were blessed with three grandchildren, Aiden, Damien and Charley Rose. She is also survived by her siblings, Crockett (Gelenda) Seaman, Lori (John) Twomey, Lana (Michael) Clark and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She graduated from Oxford Academy & Central School in 1976, SUNY Oneonta in 1980 and received her Master's Degree from Binghamton University in 1994. During her high school years, Sally was very active with the Oxford Blackhawks Color Guard and lifeguarding for the Village of Oxford. She enjoyed bird watching and sharing this joy with her grandchildren.
Sally also enjoyed singing with her family and at karaoke.
Sally was employed with multiple organizations; always with the goal of helping others and serving her community. She had an amazing talent of creating masterful decorations for weddings, birthdays, and many other occasions; the outcome was always spectacular. Sally dearly loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Throughout her 60+ years, so many people have been on the receiving end of her kindness and helpful nature.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Behe Funeral Home Inc. 21 Main Street, Oxford, NY 13830. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2019 from 2:00 PM-5:00 PM at the Oxford American Legion 17 S. Washington Ave. Oxford, NY 13830.
