Roberta Amber Stafford, 77 of formally of Oxford, passed away on February 7, 2015 in Florida. Daughter of the late Robert and Hazel Stafford. She is also predeceased by her brother Bernard F. Stafford Sr.
Roberta is survived by sister-in-law Irene G. Stafford, of Florida. Niece Linda A. Townsend (Edward) of Valrico, FL. Nephew Bernard F. Stafford (Katrina) of Palmyra, TN. Three great nephews, Eric J. Townsend (Ashleigh) of Bend OR, Dr. Brian Stafford (Erin) of Wisconsin, and Benjamin Stafford of Palmyra, TN. She is also survived by great niece Jessica L. Townsend of Valrico, FL. Arriving too late to his great aunt is Jacob M. Townsend of Bend, OR.
Roberta graduated from Oxford Academy and Central School in June of 1954. She was also a graduate of Morrisville State University in June of 1958, graduating with a bachelors in Food Services.
Roberta worked at the Norwich Pennysaver after graduating high school. Then throughout her life worked one summer at The Otesaga in Cooperstown, NY, and also worked for the University of Rochester in Food Service and Catering, also spending time working for Eastman School of Music, working in several other positions after leaving the University of Rochester including Cater Air, and nursing homes before her retirement.
Graveside services will be held on October 27, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Riverview Cemetery, Oxford, NY, with Rev. David Hanselman Rector of St. Paul's Episcopal Church officiating. She will be greatly missed by all.
