Robert I Travis

Robert Travis (Bobcat) 79 of Oxford, NY passed away peacefully at Chase Memorial Nursing Home, September 8^th, 2023. Robert has gone to be with those who passed before him. His companion Sandra Edick, his sons Jay Travis and Michael Travis and his grandson Anthony Dela Rosa.

Robert is survived by his daughter Bobbie West, two stepdaughters, his brother Jay Travis, his grandchildren and great grand-children, nieces, nephews, and many others he claimed as his own.

Robert was a proud member of the Fort Hill American Legion Post 376 of Oxford. He had many hobbies, but to name a few, fishing, boating, hunting, spending time with grandchildren and his time with family and friends around the campfire. He sold Christmas trees each holiday season and that is normally where you would always find him.

Robert’s passion and joy was being a truck driver for 45 years, working for J.B Hunt Trucking all over the country and selling his Christmas trees for 50 years. He gained many friends over his lifetime, ones he considered family. We would like to give a huge thank you to April Davis, his care giver for many years and her family who he loved dearly and a special thank you to the staff and nurses at Chase Memorial.
