Paul richard 'dick' tansey

Paul Richard "Dick" Tansey of Kilroy Road, Oxford passed away on June 27, 2014 at Norwich Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. He was born on August 2, 1928 in Newark Valley, NY a son of the late Paul and Louise (Stone) Tansey. On November 21, 1954 he married Louise Zimmermann, who survives.
Besides his wife, Louise, he is survived by his four sons and their families, Paul Tobin and Kelly Tansey and children, Gavin and Briana of Victor, NY, Timothy Allen and Norma Tansey and children, Sam, Adam & Lexi, of Mililani, Hawaii, Mark Tansey and Richard Scott Tansey of Oxford; his brothers, Thomas Tansey and James W. and Kathy Hemstrought, Jr. of Oxford; and his sister, Louzetta and Donald Page of Oxford.
Paul was a graduate of Oxford Academy and Central School. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp. He was a member of Oxford Lodge #175, F&AM and served as Master in 1997 and 1998. He was a member of Oxford Chapter, Royal Arch Masons and served as High Priest in 1977, 1978 and 2002. He was Grand Representative to the State of Alabama for Royal Arch Masons from 1997 to 2013. He was a member of Oneonta Council #87, Cryptic Masons and Norwich Commandery #46, Knights Templar.
