Pamela L Cox

Pamela L. Cox passed away peacefully surrounded by her family following several months of illness at Norwich Rehab. Pam was born in Norwich, Ny on December 20th, 1959. Shw was the daughter of Delos Hicks and Norma Fitch and was raised by her step father Robert Fitch Sr. Pam graduated from Oxford Academy in 1979. She washed dishes at the Old Sherwood Inn after graduation and later worked at CWS. Her and her husband also delivered papers before he passed away. Pam was married on July 5th 1990 to Robert Cox Sr who passed away in 2014.

She is survived by her son Robert Cox Jr., her daughter in law Courtney Badeaux, and her two grandchildren Troy and Bella, surviving siblings Kathy Irwin (Bill0, Robert A. Fitch (Barbara), Debra Post (Jeff), Robin Wright (Tom), Robert Fitch Jr. (Jodi), Scott Fitch (Michelle), and Penne Wolfe (John) along with many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sister in Law Loretta Downey (Robert), Debbie Sutton (Gordon), and Marilyn (Raymond).She was preceded by her parents and husband, along with her siblings Darrell Hicks, Mike Hicks, Gerald Hicks, and LuAnne Bowling (Hicks).

Pammy was a loving soul. She was always ready to lend a hand at any event. She loved everyone, especially her son, daughter in law and her grandchildren Troy and Bella.She loved to be surrounded by family and friends at reunions and parties,She overcame many challenges in life and never lost her shine. She was our sunshine. We would like to thank the nursing staff at Norwich Rehab for taking great care of Pammy in her last few weeks.

A Celebration of Life will be held on August 2 at The American Legion in Oxford, NY from 5-7 PM. Please join us in celebrating Pammy’s Life.
