Mary Ellen Sherman

Mary Ellen Sherman, 81, of Oxford, NY. Passed away on December 10, 2025. She was born in Binghamton, NY. Daughter of the late Alfred and Charlotte (Banard) Barnett. Mary Ellen was predeceased by her parents, her husband John Sherman, her daughter Shelly Ann Barnett, and her brother Chuck.

Mary Ellen is survived by her daughter Tracy (James) “Eddie” Roberson and her stepchildren Terri (Tim) Kinter, Brett (Kim) Sherman, and Robin Sherman. She is also survived by her brother Barry (Winnie) Barnett Sr., her half-sister Kathleen “Jane” Riley, her grandchildren Heather (Chad) Thomas, Tim, Mikala, Bailey, Ross, and Kelsey, and her great grandchildren Jackson, Hadilyn, Fiona, Timmy, Addy and Emma. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Mary Ellen was a long-time member of the Oxford American Legion Post # 376, The Norwich VFW Post# 2782, and the Norwich, Loyal Order of Moose Lodges. She enjoyed crafting ceramics and cake decorating.
