Linda Elaine Roys-Jones

Linda Roys-Jones, 77 of Oxford NY, passed away peacefully in her home on June 2, 2024, with her family by her side. She was born on October 10, 1946, in Oxford to the late Arthur Roys and Grace Slaby. Linda was predeceased by her parents, and her husband Larry Jones in 2021, and her brother Gerald Roys.

She is survived by her children; John P (Nichole) Franklin and Candy Roys-Jones. She is also survived by her brother Bill (Lynn) Roys and her grandchildren, Rachael (David) Condon, Sara Hollingsworth , and great grandchildren, Autumn Brook Condon and her beloved dog Caleb.

Linda had a lifelong career working in the New York State Court systems, she was the Chief Clerk of Fulton City Court and Chief Clerk of Norwich City. When Linda wasn’t working, she was spending time with her family or enjoying a variety of her hobbies. Some of her favorite activities were golfing, skiing, and most importantly reading books. Linda’s love for her family was unconditional, she was the matriarch of her family and was always showing selfless acts of love and kindness. She would always say her “door was always open”, and she always meant it. Linda was an amazingly kind woman, and she will be missed dearly by all those who knew and loved her.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Behe Funeral Home Inc. 21 Main Street, Oxford, NY 13830. No funeral services will take place at this time.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Chenango County SPCA, 6160 County Road 32, Norwich NY 13815 or to a public library of your choosing.
