Lambert klopman

Lambert Klopman, 94 of Oxford, NY formerly of Midland Park, NJ passed away on September 23, 2020 at the NYS Veterans Home, Oxford, NY. He was born on August 26, 1926 in Midland Park, NJ a son of the late Garrett and Ella (VandeWeert) Klopman. On May 14, 1947 he married Alida Marie Gnade, who predeceased him on June 15, 2014.
He is survived by his children, Lois and Lou Wright, Donna and Pete Faber, and Sherrill and Richard Schipper; and son in law Jim Faber. Twelve grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren also survive. He was predeceased by his infant daughter Lois and daughter Ellen Faber.
Lambert was a US Army veteran of World War II, serving in Europe. He was a self-employed carpenter in Midland Park, NJ for many years. He was an active member of the Midland Park Fire Department for over thirty years. He was currently a member of Fort Hill Post # 376, American Legion. He was also a member of the Christian Reform Church for many years and served on the consistory.
Graveside services with military honors will be held on October 24, 2020 at 11:00 AM in the NYS Veterans Home Cemetery, with Rev. Douglas Harding officiating.
