Kyoko 'kitty' brewer

Kyoko "Kitty" Brewer, 84 of McDonough, NY passed away on January 22, 2016 at Chenango Memorial Hospital Residential Health Care Facility, Norwich, NY. She was born on January 2, 1932 in Akiashi, Japan a daughter of the late Kiichi and Take (Kohayasu) Echizenya. She was predeceased by her husbands, Albert Smith and Dale Brewer.
She is survived by her children, Tony and Mary Smith of Brown Summit, NC, Jim and Janice Smith of Oxford and Bonnie and Charlie Collins of McDonough; her grandchildren, Michelle and Rick Fleming, Charles and Alicia Collins III, Laura DuBois, Matthew and Danielle Smith, Maria and Ike Tarver, and Stephen and Nickki Smith; her great grandchildren, Byron and Brynn Frederick, Dylan Thomsen, Zachery Fleming, Victoria, Grant and Kimberly Traver, Destinies, Jessie and Reghan Smith, Quinn and Kensah Smith. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Kitty came to the United States in 1956 and became a UAS Citizen in 1962. She worked for many years at Chenango Memorial Hospital. She was an avid card player and enjoyed going to Turning Stone Casino. She enjoyed traveling and camping. She volunteered at the Geneganstlet Activity Center for 15 years and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in McDonough. She attended the Willet Senior Center and loved dancing at Del-Senango Fiddlers.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 25, 2016 at 3:00 PM from the Behe Funeral Home, 21 Main St., Oxford with Pastor Richard Howard officiating.
Friends may call at the Behe Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2:00 PM until the time of the service.
