JoAnn worked as an administrative secretary for Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich, NY for 40 years. JoAnn and Thomas poured their blood, sweat, and tears into their family and their home. Together they doted on their children and took pride in their family home. JoAnn loved the outdoors and took pride in both her home and her family. Often getting compliments from strangers passing by the property due to its immaculate care. JoAnn was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother. She was affectionately known to her family as “Uma”. She loved her family fiercely and there was nothing that she would not do for those she loved. She enjoyed 80’s country music and often would have her favorited country station playing in the car wherever she went. JoAnn also loved Christmas. Often taking weeks of advanced preparation, and decoration. Every Christmas her home became a winter wonderland, a place where all family excitedly gathered to spend the winter holiday. She loved doing things for the people she loved most. JoAnn especially enjoyed watching the joy on her family’s faces, children and grandchildren when they would open their Christmas gifts. She will be dearly missed by her family and it’s these memories that they will cherish forever.
