Jeanne M. Turner

Jeanne Turner, born in Queens NY, on April 22, 1933, passed away in the early morning hours at the Oxford Veterans Home on December 16th, 2025. Jeanne was the life of the party! She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved her family and friends with her entire heart.

Jeanne was married to James Turner Sr. for 65 years. Jeanne was predeceased by her parents James and Anna Buffalo. Her son Robert Jacobs. Her siblings are Margie, Bill and Mickey, and her husband of 65 years James Turner Sr.

Jeanne had a larger-than-life personality. She had the gift of gab and could connect with anyone she met. Jeanne was very active in the Oxford community over the years. She was a member of the Oxford Fire Department Auxiliary, a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodges, the McDonough Fire Department Auxiliary, the McDonough Town Improvement Committee, and was an avid bingo player throughout the state. Jeanne Loved her family and friends with every fiber of her soul. She had a fighting spirit and loving heart.

Jeanne is survived by her loving family. Her son James Edward Turner Jr. and her daughter in law Roberta (Alford) Turner. Her Grandchildren Raymond Mundy, Kayleigh Turner and Corey Turner. Her great grandchildren Jase and Sophia Brewster. Her Siblings Walter, Suzy and Naomi, and many more extended family members and dear friends. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution in Jeanne’s name can be made to the NYS Veteran’s Home of Oxford Attention Volunteer Guild 4207 State Highway 220 Oxford, NY 13830 or to the Oxford Fire Department 20 Main Street Oxford, NY 13830.
