Gary Orrin Blossom

Gary Orrin Blossom, 80, of Oxford, NY. Passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2026. Gary was born in Rockville Center, NY. Son of the late Orrin and Warda (Nowlin) Blossom. Gary was predeceased by his parents and by his mother and father In- Law, Bill and Kay Kelsey.

Gary is survived by his loving wife Kathy Blossom and by his children Jennifer and Jason Meres and Sandra Blossom. He is also survived by his grandchildren Jamie and Shannon Smolcnop, Katie and Adam Pierson, Kelsey and Allen Spicer and Sylvia Meres. Gary also leaves behind his beloved great grandchildren Sylvester, Dexter, Amara, Jordyn and Aaryn and his sister Randee Donley. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Gary was a hardworking man who loved his family dearly. Friday nights were dubbed movie nights in the Blossom household. Gary was a movie enthusiast and loved gathering the grandchildren and great grandchildren to watch movies in their family home. He also loved model trains; he could always be found tinkering with his display models of which he was very proud of. Gary was a truck driver for many years and proudly served in the United States Navy.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Gary’s memory can be made to the Oxford Fire Department and the Oxford Emergency Squad. 20 Main Street, Oxford, NY 13830. Gary’s family would like to sincerely thank the NYS Troopers, and all the emergency personnel for all their efforts and compassion.
