Eugene D. Hamilton, 73 of Oxford passed away on March 5, 2013 at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Johnson City, NY.
He is survived by his children, Joyce M. Tanner of Franklin, IN, Connie M. Lanfair of Oxford, William K. Hamilton of McDonough, and Lisa J. Rosh of Binghamton; his grandchildren, Amy J. and Lucas D. Fisher, Wendy M. Hamilton, William C. and Roxanna L. Hamilton, Todd E. Hamilton, Christina M. Taylor, Robin R. Hamilton, Tasha R. Taylor, and Zachary R. Hamilton; his great grandchildren, Alexis M. Hamilton, Landon B. Hamilton, Brayden T. Hamilton, Brent C. Hamilton, Micah E. Fisher, Autumn M. Hamilton, and Finley L. Fisher; and his sister, Nancy Hamilton of Greene. He was predeceased by his sister, Janet Harris and his brother, Leroy Hamilton.
Gene graduated from Greene Central School. He retired as an equipment operator with the NYS Department of Transportation in 1994. He loved hunting, especially deer.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 8, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Behe Funeral Home, 21 Main St., Oxford, NY with the Rev. Allen C. Lang, pastor of the United Church of Oxford officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Oxford.
