Ervie d. bush

Ervie D. Bush, 80 of Oxford passed away on September 19, 20014 at Chenango Memorial Hospital. He was born on May 26, 1934 in East Pharsalia a son of the late Ervie L. and Hazel (Hackett) Bush. On March 4, 1954 he married Doris Williams, who survives.
Besides his wife, Doris, he is survived by his children, Terry and Nancy Bush, Nancy Lashway
, David Bush, Allen and Carrie Bush, Curtis and Anna Bush, Penney Rogers and Paul Furnare
, Lisa and James Palmer, Mike and Debra Bush and Leroy Bush; 25 grandchildren, and 47 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Sharon and Kenneth Benjamin and Janet and Ron Richer He was predeceased by his sisters, Elma Spencer, Erma Weaver, Marlene Lenning and Yvonne Angle, his brothers, Gerald Bush, Marlin Bush and Norman Bush and his grandchildren, Jonathan Bush and Brandy Bush.
Ervie was veteran of the US Army. He had worked for Felix Furnare and Dania Bartle as a truck driver and at Charlie Burke's Gas Station. He then started a career with the NYS Department of Conservation spanning 33 years, retiring in 1990. He loved the outdoors and mowing lawns. He enjoyed tinkering in his garage, NASCAR racing and dancing. In his younger years he played softball.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Behe Funeral Home, 21 Main St., Oxford with Pastor Matt Frayer of Bible Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Oxford.
