Douglas p. winsor

Douglas P. Winsor, 52 of Norwich passed away Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Chenango Memorial Hospital. He was born on June 11, 1958 in Sidney, NY the son of the late
Richard and Arlene (Stanley) Winsor.
He is survived by his brothers R. Bruce Winsor and wife JoAnn, of Guilford and Christopher M. Winsor of Oxford; nieces and nephew, Rae Winsor Mamorella and husband Chris of Syracuse, Kacie Winsor of Raleigh, NC, Aaron Winsor of Oxford, and Alyssa Winsor and her daughter Lilly, of Norwich. He was predeceased by both parents and his sister Vicki Winsor Trinemeyer.
Doug was a 1976 graduate of Bainbridge-Guilford Schools and later graduated with a degree in sports medicine from Castleton College in New Hampshire, where he then became employed as an Athletic Trainer. His most recent employment was as a switchboard operator at Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich, NY. He also served as an EMT instructor and trainer, which he greatly enjoyed. Doug was a natural with children and loved his role as a Sunday School Teacher at the Bible Baptist Church in Norwich. Doug leaves behind his two best friends - pets Sadie and Katie.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 31, 2011 at 1:00 pm at the Bible Baptist Church in Norwich, NY, with Rev. Ralph Hinman officiating. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution to the Bible Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Behe Funeral Home, Oxford.
