Dorothy r. carroll

Dorothy R. Carroll, 95 of Oxford passed away on November 26, 2012 at Chenango Memorial Hospital, Norwich. She was born on July 16, 1917 in McHenry, IL a daughter of the late George and Carrie (Myers) Roach. On June 28, 1941 in St. Joseph's Church, Oxford she married Paul B. Carroll, who passed away on May 14, 1978.
She is survived by her son, Paul Thomas Carroll of Guilford; her daughter and son in law, Barbara and Erwin MacLaury of Baldwinsville; her grandchildren, Jeanine and Chris Lore, Carrie Zdobylak, Diane and Ed Rydzy, and Steven Carroll. Several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive. She was predeceased by her son Frederick Carroll, grandson, T.J. Zdobylak and her brothers, Ronald Roach, Murray Roach, Harry Roach, Robert Roach and Kenneth Roach.
Dorothy was a graduate of Oxford Academy and Central School, Class of 1936. She was a cashier at the Victory Markets store in Oxford from 1962-1968, then she was a clerk at the Department of Motor Vehicles in Norwich from 1969-1982. She was a long time member of St. Joseph's Church in Oxford. She enjoyed her morning trips to Mr. Chubb's for coffee with her friends.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church, State St., Oxford on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
There will be no visiting hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Behe Funeral Home, 21 Main St., Oxford.
