Daniel J. Wilson June 22, 1959 - November 2, 2021 Deborah C. Wilson February 26, 1959 - October 31, 2021
Daniel and Deborah (Woughter) Wilson, 62, of Oxford, NY passed away together peacefully at Chenango Memorial Hospital with their loving family by their side. Dan and Deb were married on December 11, 1982 at St. Peters Church in Niagara Falls, NY, and shared 39 wonderful years together filled with love and laughter.
Dan was a dedicated husband. He was the perfect example of fatherhood, and the most amazing grandfather a child could ask for. A protective brother, who valued his family so much. He was everything any person could look to be. Selfless, giving, and full of love. He was our motivation, light and example. His memory will guide us through this as we strive to live in respect of his amazing presence. A man, a person, a father, a mentor who can truly never leave us or be gone. As everything he brought, stayed in everything he loved.
Deborah was an amazing woman, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, and mentor. She raised her children with a stern hand and an even stronger heart. With a loving husband, Daniel Wilson, by her side through it all. She was steadfast in her convictions and was one never afraid to fight for those and what she loved. Deborah was a woman who loved her heritage, being creative, and doting on her grandchildren. She served in the Navy for our country. Deborah was a fighter and her battle with medical issues, most of her adult life, only better showed those she loved to never give up. She can never be forgotten, as her presence is in everything she loved.
Daniel was blessed with two mothers throughout his life being born to James and Nancy Wilson and later adopted by Eileen Wilson after Nancy passed. He is predeceased by his father James Wilson and by both of his mothers. He was also predeceased by his brothers Matt Wilson and Mark Wilson.
Deborah was predeceased by her nephew Corey Woughter and Sister-in-law Jackie Woughter.
Daniel and Deborah are survived by their loving children Michael T. Blackledge, Horace (Chuck) Blackledge, and Daniel J. Wilson II. Deb is survived by her parents Thomas E. Woughter and Cleone (Shields) Woughter, and by her siblings Edward E. Woughter and wife Kathie, Steven D, Woughter and wife Linda, Terri L. Brown and husband John and Kathy S. Miller and husband Andrew. Daniel is survived by his siblings Tim Wilson and wife Jane, Pat Wilson and wife Michelle, Kathy Young, Melissa Champ and husband Mike, and Colleen Cvetich and husband Paul, Dan and Deb are also survived by 6 grandchildren and 18 nieces and nephews.
