Daniel J. Dalmer, 75 of McDonough passed away on January 20, 2017 at Chase Health, New Berlin. He was born on August 1, 1941 in Manhattan, NY a son of the late Joseph Walsh and Marie Guzman. On March 31, 1978 he married Sandra Collins, who survives.
Besides his wife, best friend and soul mate, Sandy he is survived by his children, AnnMarie and Gerardo Menegaz, Danny and Lori Dalmer, and Sheri and John Zanosky; his grandchildren, Jack, Eric, Robin, Madison, Derek and Savhannah; his sister, Jerie and Bob Alley; sister in laws Debbie and Greg Pacha and Mary Collins; his brother in law, Charles and Bonnie Collins; his mother in law, Helen and Peter John Volk and his nieces and nephews, Michelle Fleming, Charlie Collins, TJ Winner, and Amber Schleis. His special pets, Adonis, Precious and Callie will miss him.
The family would like to thank Chase Health staff for their excellent care. Dan served as a fire commissioner in McDonough for many years. He was an industrial engineer for many years at various employers. He was a member, lector, eucharistic minister and taught religious education at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Oxford. He was always willing to help anyone. He never met a person he couldn't talk to.
Graveside services will be held at St. Joseph's Cemetery, State St., Oxford, NY on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 12:30 PM with Rev. Lester Smith officiating.
