Caroline Katherine Jordan, 98, went to be with our Lord on March 22, 2026. She was born on October 7, 1927, to Jan Pustus and Caroline Hiller of Wycoff, NJ. She is predeceased by her parents, her brother, and her husband Ellis. She leaves behind 2 children, 9 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren, and 2 step great, great grandchildren.
Son John (Cindy) Jordan of Oxford, NY; Grandchildren: John (Christi) Jordan and their children: Ella and Mason; Josh Jordan and his children: Hailey, Olivia, Jolene, and Everett; Step-Grandchildren: Kathy Foster and son Ethan; Jessica (Rob) Hosier and children Colby and Conner; Step great, greatgrandchildren Millie and Mollie.
Daughter Carol (Michael) Williams of Oxford, NY; Elise (Garrett) Van Gorden and their soon to be born daughter Caroline (Caroline’s Namesake); Rex; Craig; Jacob; Gabriella; Samara; and Echo.
She was a hard-working woman, born just before the Great Depression hit, who lived through much history. She graduated from Wycoff High School and worked as a telephone operator in Wycoff, New Jersey, for many years. She married Ellis Jordan in 1949. They lived in New Jersey until 1965 when they moved to North Afton and started a career as dairy farmers shortly thereafter. She worked beside her husband on the family farm for approx. 15 years. She loved painting, gardening, quilting, was a member of the Afton Baptist Church and local Grange. Later she attended Brisban Baptist Church. She was an avid collector and horticulturist for a large collection of African Violets. Later in life she enjoyed dot-to-dots, sticker books, and watching the birds.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Behe Funeral Home Inc. 21 Main Street, Oxford, NY 13830. Visitation will be held between 12:00PM – 1:00PM and a funeral service will begin at 1:00PM with Pastor Justin Bleuer from Berean Bible Church officiating and Pastor Jerry Shriver from Brisban Baptist Church
Burial will follow in Warn Ten Broeck Cemetery. Flowers welcome or donations can be made to Chenango County Hospice or the Warn Ten Broeck Cemetery Association P.O Box 96 Oxford, NY Friends and family may share memories and condolences by visiting www.behefuneralhome.com.
