April 9, 1931 — January 8, 2014
Alworthy Ray, 82, of Oxford, passed away on Wednesday, January 8th 2014 at the New York State Veterans Home in Oxford. He was born April 9th 1931 in Raeford, NC to Jim and Josie (Lomas) Ray. He proudly served in the United States Army and will be dearly missed by all those who knew him during his time at the Veterans Home. A graveside service with military honors will take place at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, January 14th at the New York State Veterans Home Cemetery, with Rev. Allan Lang officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Behe Funeral Home, 21 Main Street, Oxford, NY.
