Alfred g. legar

Alfred G. LeGar, 80 of Oxford, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2015. He was born on July 18, 1935 in Jersey City, NJ. Son of the late Alfred LeGar and Jennie (Betchley) Legar. On June 8, 1963 he married his wife Martha (Kauflin) LeGar who survives. Alfred was predeceased by his brother Charles LeGar.
Besides his wife Alfred is survived by his mother - in - law Martha Magner, his daughters Michele Nebel and her husband Ward, and Marlene Dolak as well as her husband Scott. Alfred is also survived by loving grandchildren Hailey, Blake, Cheyenne, Sierra, Evan, Denali, and Gunnar.
Alfred was a Veteran of the United States Army. Throughout his life Alfred was a financial analyst at IBM, and worked for Notchwood Landscaping as well. Alfred enjoyed fishing, pigeon racing, and was a model train enthusiast.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Behe Funeral Home Inc. 21 Main St. Oxford, NY. Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday November 18, 2015 at 7:00 PM with Rev.
