Crofton coles

Crofton D. Coles "Mick" of Oxford passed away, September 8, 2020. He was born in July of 1936 in Hewlett NY. Son of the late Edward and Louise (Hendrickson) Coles. Mick is predeceased by, Brother William Coles. of St Lawrence, NY, Walter Coles, Jim Coles, and Andrew Coles from Norwich NY. His sisters, Jean Pagottie and Marion Murry of Norwich NY, and several nieces and nephews.
He moved from Hewlett, NY in 1952, to Norwich NY, where he went to work at O & W railroad for a year. He also worked on area farms for few years before serving in the Army for 2 years from 1958- 1960. Then he began working in the shoe factory in Norwich NY, where he worked for 14 years. He then started working at the Norwich Pharmaceuticals in Norwich NY for 24 years until he retired in 1996.
Mick always enjoyed hunting, fishing, and caring for his lawn and the flowers in his gardens.
He is survived by his wife Elsie Coles and his two daughters: Theresa Wrobleswki and Steve from Utica NY, and Gladys Hackett and Joe of Plymouth NY. His granddaughter Rebecca Keys and Ian of Preston and his Great Grandsons, Cole and Carson. Five Stepchildren; Billie Jo Ross of Edmeston, NY and friend Doug Mazza, Bobbie Jo Dean and son Devin Dean of Oxford NY, Betty Jo Sutton and Scott Sutton of Oxford NY, Gen Spencer and Kurt of Oxford NY, William Dutcher and wife Monique of Saratoga Springs, NY. He has 12 Grandchildren from Elsie's side and seven Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving is his sister Janet Wilcox of Whitney Point NY and Ruth Kreider of PA along with his brothers Thomas Coles and friend Vicki Scheurman of Sherburne NY.
In Leu of flowers memorial contributions in Mick's memory can be made to the Mercy House, at 212 North McKinley Ave, Endicott NY 13760.
