Arlouine (Arlie) Mable Conrad passed away peacefully on Thursday November 5, 2020. She was born in Brookfield, NY, on February 5, 1943, daughter of the late Robert Calhoun and Florice Jeffrey.
Arlie had a passion for gardening and horticulture with a particular fondness for violets. She enjoyed genealogy and spent many hours in online research. She also liked to collect antique glass and try out new recipes.
Arlie had three children; son Robin Sawyer of Daytona Beach FL, and daughters Vickie Chesebro (Warren) of Sicily Italy, and Johanna Kolis of Oxford, NY. Her beloved grandchildren are Jennifer Chesebro Kendall (Joshua), Jared Chesebro (Autumn), Kyle Whitney (Blair), Cheyenne Sawyer, and Drake Kolis. Plus four great grandchildren, Jillian, Jessa, Asher and Joshua Jr., with two more on the way.
She is also survived by siblings John H. Weaver, Holly Hill, FL, P. Richard Weaver Horton, (Ruth) South Edmeston, NY, Eugene R. Calhoun (Tricia) Brookfield, NY, Neva Calhoun Swenson (David) Woodlawn, VA, Jason I. Calhoun (Karen) Columbus, OH, Robert O. Calhoun (Fay) Clarkrange, TN, and Lynn E. Calhoun (Amy) Liberty Hill, TX.
Arlouine was predeceased by sisters Mary Rounds, Pauline Thornington, and Kathleen Broomfield.
Our family would like to thank Joe and Brenda Ivans, her Landlords and caretakers, for always being there for Mom. Thank you for your friendship, for watching out for her and for the compassion you showed to her.
